We believe that Connections and Collaborations with schools and classrooms around the world can and will benefit students, staff, and our communities in a multitude of ways. Below are just a few general aims of the program.

-promote student-centered- inquiry-based learning, and critical thinking skills.

-develop a deeper understanding of the local, national, and global world.

-cultivate “real-world” and “21st century” skills such as multi-media and computer literacy, strategic planning, team-building, and cross-cultural communication skills.

-develop and promote civil discourse

-develop students’ perspective consciousness (an awareness that humans’ views are shaped by a variety of factors, and that a person's worldview is neither universally shared, nor necessarily right, and may be profoundly different from another person).
